Retained Search
For individual hires and small projects

The majority of Elson Search's work is conducted using the retained method. It requires a negotiable upfront payment prior to starting the search, and the final payment is invoiced when the chosen candidate is hired. The upfront payment/commitment to the search from the client justifies the reduction in cost compared to a contingency search.

Subscription Search

For volume hiring and small/mid-sized projects

Fee: Negotiable

Subscription search is the most cost effective service we offer. On receipt of a hiring strategy from the client, we agree on a number of hires over a specific timeframe. Based on the requirements, a monthly subscription fee is agreed. Benefits to the client are they know exactly their outgoing costs for the hiring project and a lower fee level is applied due to the extended commitment to Elson Search. 

Contingency Search
For individual hires and small projects

Otherwise known as "no win no fee", a contingency search is very similar to a retained search. The fundamental difference is the cost. The lack of upfront payment/commitment from the client means the recruiter absorbs all the risk. For this reason the cost of our contingency search method is higher than a retained search.

PSL Search

For long term hiring and large projects

Fee: Based on search method

"Preferred suppliers lists" are common across the recruitment industry. As part of a PSL we individually, or as part of a team of recruiters, represent a client over a specific timeframe. The method of search is dictated by the client, and we can apply any of the aforementioned services to a PSL.
